Monrovia Breweries Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Human Resource Coordinator for its Human Resources Department of the Brewery.

POSITION: Human Resources

REPORT TO: Human Resource Manager

DEPARTMENT Human Resources Department

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership for subordinate HR Team Members and ensure Achievement of the Department’s objectives
  • To Assist in the recruitment process of new employees (incl. screening, evaluation, short-listing, supervising employment tests, and serving on interview panels)
  • Ensure that all new employees have a full introduction
  • Participate in the preparation of job descriptions and employment contracts
  • Facilitate performance evaluations company-wide
  • Assist with compensation (wage, salary and fringe benefit) administration
  • Compile HR statistics for internal and external use
  • Foster and promote employee/union-management relations and the tripartite relationship
  • Handle grievances and settle disputes in an unbiased manner
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and the administration of the CBA
  • Work with line manager and the safety committee to develop and/or implement safety and environmental policies and together ensuring safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times
  • Handle employees’ social security and coordinate this activity with the Finance Department
  • Proxy for manager at meetings and occasions
  • Perform related work as required

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Training, Experience, Skills):

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Management; emphasis in Human Resource is a plus
  • Understanding of or Training in the Liberia Labour law or Labour Relations
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in an HR Function of a reputable, unionized Institution
  • Good communication skills (verbally and written) with members on different levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle complex situations
  • Sense of urgency and relevancy
  • Strong commitment to corporate goals
  • Must have the drive to finish tasks
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
