HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

BACKGROUND

A major company in Liberia is seeking to hire a professional to manage its Human Resource

Department. The ideal HR Manager will manage, plan, coordinate and direct the human

resource and personnel management functions of the company. He/she will oversee the

recruiting of new staff; consult with Senior Management on

strategic planning, and serve as a link between the company management and its employees.

This person must be able and willing to work in a gambling environment.

 

Essential Functions

  • Consistently recruiting excellent staff.
  • Maintaining a smooth onboarding process.
  • Training, counseling, and coaching our staff.
  • Resolving conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
  • Carrying out necessary administrative duties.
  • Conducting performance and wage reviews.
  • Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
  • Creating clear and concise reports.
  • Giving helpful and engaging presentations.
  • Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
  • Educating and handling workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
  • Maintaining employee and workplace privacy.
  • Leading a team of junior human resource managers.

The successful applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management,

Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, and at least (4-5) years of work experience in this or related works.

 

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree, (4-5) years of related experience in human resources for companies.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, Social Science, Business Administration or the equivalent, from a respected and accredited university.

General and Special Knowledge

 

  1. At least (4-5) years in a middle-level position managing a large workforce consisting

of professional, skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled employees.

 

  1. Ability to design policies and programs to promote and sustain positive employee and

management relations, employee well-being, individual and corporate integrity, etc.

 

  1. Familiarity with international best practices on human relations policies and practices,

capable of working with department managers to create individual key performance indices

(KPI’s), conduct periodic performance evaluations

  1. Must be a leader, educator, motivator, and team player
