The Human Resources Assitant shall undertake a variety of HROD and administrative duties.

The role would also, involve performing tasks with a focus to grow SOS Liberia’stalent pipelineand improve oursourcing tactics.
The HROD Assistant will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources and Organizational Development as well as general administrative responsibilities.
He/She will be able to work efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HROD projects and operations.
He/She should be familiar with using HROD software and tools. Ultimately, the HROD Assistant should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HROD department and the organization.
Responsibilities
Respond to internal and external HROD-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
Redirect HROD-related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
in both paper and the database and ensure all employment information requirements are met
Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
Support the recruitment/hiring process bysourcing candidates, performingbackground checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, ID cards, etc.
Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, etc. and maintain the HROD team’s agenda
Coordinate training sessions and seminars
Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
Produce and submit reports on general HROD activity
Assist in ad-hoc HROD projects, like collection of employee feedback
Support other functions as assigned
Perform other duties/tasks as required by the supervisor and National Director
Assist with day to day operations of the HROD functions and duties
Provide clerical and administrative support to HROD Manager
Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.).
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes
Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
Requirements
Proven experience as an HROD Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Good organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with ATS software and resume database
Basic knowledge of labor laws
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communications skills
BSc/BA in Human Resources or Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus.
Accountability & Working Relationship
The HROD Assistant supports the HROD Manager in the day-to-day HR functions
S/he reports directly to the HROD Manager and deputizes the HROD Manager as need be.

The Performance of the principal will be assessed at least twice per year by the HROD Manager, the factors that will be taken into account are:
