In 2022, the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with BRAC International (BI) will be announcing an initiative that will create a positive and measurable impact for 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women and 9.5 million people across seven countries in East and West Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda.
There is mounting urgency to support adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) living in poverty, which has been further amplified by the global pandemic. Through this partnership, scalable economic development approaches will be delivered in communities to foster the agency and voice of AGYW. They will have the opportunity to fulfill their aspirations, achieve sustainable livelihoods, and engage in advocacy issues.
BRAC International will implement an integrated and holistic model to address the various life cycles of a young woman living in poverty, ensuring she can transition safely from adolescence to adulthood. She will be equipped with the appropriate skills, tools, and access to finance to effectively exercise her agency and build a fulfilling and productive livelihood. Safeguarding Job Responsibilities
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to support the BRAC Liberia HR team ensuring timely and quality hiring for BRAC Liberia. The job holder is accountable for planning and implementing the ongoing hiring and talent management processes and maintaining the documentation & records. This role is reportable to Lead/Manager & Training and works closely with other team members to ensure recruitment & selection, onboarding & orientation, and performance management.
Reporting to the Human Resources & Training, Manager, the job holder will provide support to the HR Manager in ensuring HR processes in Recruitment, and Talent Management are perfectly aligned with BRAC Liberia’s recruitment and Performance Management systems and policies. The incumbent should have a proven track record of success in HR operations, Talent Acquisition and Management, employee onboarding, Performance Management Systems management and tracking as well as program outreach. The HR Officer serves as a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance, and support, and facilitating positive workplace relationships. With a focus on maintaining a productive and compliant workforce, this role contributes to organizational success by fostering a culture of engagement, professionalism, and continuous improvement
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Selection:
▪ Support Lead/Manager- HR & Training to coordinate with department/ programme heads to forecast future hiring needs, plan and facilitate the hiring process;
▪ Follow the existing policy/processes and tools related to safe recruitment and selection and ensure that the recruitment and selection procedures and practices meet organizational needs, compliant with local laws and good practices;
▪ Assist supervisor in exploring best alternative sourcing agencies, establish a functional relationship with best sourcing agencies, and administer the external contracts;
▪ Ensures that job advertisements are prepared with set alignment, placed on selected advertising hosts on time, and coordinates the open & close dates.
▪ Keep track of job applications, conduct initial screening of CVs, work with programme teams to develop selection process including interview guidelines, and facilitate the selection tests & interviews;
▪ Follow-up references and employment checks, determine job offer terms and conditions, and coordinate the job offering necessaries;
▪ Maintain all recruitment records including the recruitment tracker, ensuring that these are complete, accurate, and compliant with organization current policy and practices;

EXPERIENCE
2-3 years experience in HR/ relevant work.
