About PREVAIL:

Summary of Position:
The hygienist will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.) S/he will perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Description of Responsibilities:
 Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors of various types.
 Dusts ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
 Scrubs and sanitizes toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
 Empties trash cans.
 Washes and dries windows.
 Liaises with the line manager to ensure that there is always sufficient cleaning products.
 Reports any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.
 Informs the line manager of repairs and maintenance work that need to be done.
 Ensures appropriate infection control is maintained throughout the waste management process.
 Assures all waste is appropriately removed from where it produced in a timely fashion and disposed of properly.
 Cleans, mops and disinfects all areas of the clinical research facility, as directed.
 Responds, cleans, and disinfects related to spills and other incidents that may occur.
 Provides administrative services such as restock medical supplies as requested, and inventory and re-order cleaning and bathroom supplies as needed.
 Other duties as assigned.

 Able to stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:
 Education: High school diploma OR diploma in environmental Health.
 Preferred Job-related Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in clinical settings as a hygienist especially related to work as a nurse aid in a recognized health care institution or ETU.
