Job Brief

As an integral part of our corporate structure, the In-House Counsel is tasked with

providing expert legal guidance and support to ensure our operations align with all

applicable laws and regulations. This position demands a robust understanding of

corporate law, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and risk management. Our

ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver and strategic thinker with exceptional

communication skills and a strong ethical foundation. In this dynamic role, will work

closely with various departments, including finance, human resources, and executive

leadership/management, providing legal insights that drive informed business decisions

and safeguard SEGAL interests. We are seeking a legal professional who thrives in a fast

paced environment and is adept at handling complex legal issues with a high degree of

professionalism. Whether the candidate is negotiating contracts, managing litigation, or

advising on intellectual property matters, his/her contributions will be critical to our

ongoing success and sustainability.

SECURITY EXPERT GUARD AGENCY OF LIBERIAIn-House Counsel Responsibilities & Duties

• Providing legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other company

departments.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.

• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

• Managing litigation and coordinating with external legal counsel as needed.

• Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in laws that may affect

the company.

• Overseeing corporate governance and ensuring adherence to corporate policies.

• Advising on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

• Managing intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and

copyrights.

• Handling employee relations and Labor law issues.

• Developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company’s interests.

In-House Counsel Qualifications & Skills

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

• 10+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.

• Strong background in corporate law, contract law, labour law and compliance.

• Proficiency in managing complex legal projects and transactions.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in a specific industry relevant to the company’s operations.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized institution.

• License to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate

setting.

• Excellent knowledge of corporate, contract, and regulatory law.

• Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.

• Effective communication and presentation abilities.

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

• Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.

• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
