The Golden SIFCA INCORPORATED (GSI), which is involved with the processing of Oil Palm; and operating in Maryland County – Liberia, requires the professional services of the following:

Position: INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC SUPERVISOR: (Ref#: MECH-SUP / GSI – 001-20)

Persons Needed: One (1)

Duty Station: Golden SIFCA Mill, Gbolobo, Pleebo-Sodoken District, Maryland County

Duration: Fixed Term (with a probationary period to be specified)

Mission: To efficiently carry out the following:-

• Execute activities in line with the Maintenance & Mechanical sectors to ensure the constant operation of the Mill to produce required targets in specified time.

In accordance with the above, the professional Industrial Mechanic Supervisor shall assume the following General and Technical competencies:

1. Ensure the full attendance of concerned Mill workers before work-day starts;
2. Follow-up on daily attendance before and after work with required commentaries;
3. Check daily working tools that are cleaned and made available by Operator;
4. Control all repair / fabrication instructions as required by coordinating sectors & Management;
5. Take accurate record on each repair & fabrication work done in the Mill;
6. Sign standard request forms for work & material orders in the Mechanical sector of the Mill;
7. Control routine checks with electrical, maintenance & processing sectors to ensure a unilateral flow of operations;
8. Take leading roles in the “START” & “STOP” instructions of the Mill;
9. Set the workshop in an atmosphere of total safety, under the Occupational Health & Safety practices to avoid any accident;
10. Hold routine brainstorming meetings with concerned sectors to uphold the successful operations of the process; Help in training and empowering existing down-line human resources to take on additional and higher responsibilities;
11. Adhere strictly to a high level of confidentiality at work-place, relying on Management for any need of clarity &
12. Report to Mill Manager and carry out any related task required by him.

Qualification /Requirements:

• • BSc. In Industrial Mechanical Engineering OR High School Diploma + experience in Oil Palm Mill Processing + Industrial Mechanical Certificate from any renowned vocational institute.
  • The candidate should have minimum five years experience in industrial maintenance field (Factory maintenance work)

• Willingness to work in the practical operations of Mill Mechanics;

• Ability & willingness to follow established procedures and practices;

• Must be able & willing to work extra hours;

• Must be willing to learn and accept corrections to suit standards, as they are momentarily upgraded for better working conditions.
