Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Help Desk
Technician.

The Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia (SEGAL) is scouting to hire a reliable,
competent, dedicated and customer-focused ICT Help Desk Technician to be the first
point of contact for all technical support needs within our organization. In this vital role,
you will troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring
smooth and efficient technology operations. Your expertise and excellent communication

Job Summary
• Serve as the initial point of contact for ICT support requests via phone, email, or
in-person.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
promptly.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and
applications.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, actions taken, and resolutions in
help desk support systems.
• Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups of IT systems.
• Educate and guide users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference.
• Support IT security protocols and ensure data confidentiality.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
• Perform other tasks as may be required

Working Conditions:
• May require working outside regular hours for system updates or emergencies.
• Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.
• Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and adaptability.

Education and Experience:
• Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related
field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICT support or help desk environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT
Professional (MCITP), or similar are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
• Experience with help desk support systems and remote support tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Customer service-oriented attitude and ability to work collaboratively
• Basic understanding of networking principles

Prerequisite to Apply:
• Ability to operate with flexible work arrangements and able to respond to
emergency requests to work outside normal working hours.
