Job Summary
The IT Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting IT-related issues, and assisting in the maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to ensuring smooth IT operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-level technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
· Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
· Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware/software faults.
· Support IT security measures by updating antivirus software, monitoring system vulnerabilities, and ensuring data protection.
· Assist in managing company email accounts, software licenses, and access controls.
· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
· Support the IT team in system upgrades, backups, and data recovery procedures.
· Train employees on basic IT practices and best cybersecurity protocols.
· Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT-related purchases and repairs.
· Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· At least1-3 yearsof experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
· Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common business applications.
· Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, routers, firewalls, and VPNs).
· Experience with troubleshooting hardware (PCs, printers, scanners, etc.).
· Basic knowledge of IT security best practices.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Certification in IT-related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals) is an advantage.
· Vast knowledge in Zoho Applications.
