JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Laboratory Supervisor

CLASSIFICATION: A 1

REPORT TO: Quality Assurance Manager

DEPARTMENT: Brewhouse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises the Chemical Technical analysis and Fermentation control analysis;
• Prepare monthly statistical reports for all products;
• Supervise machine calibrations;
• Supervise Filtration and carbonation control;
• Supervise Microbiological analysis and GYLE preparation;
• Conduct Forcing test analysis, Bitter Unit (BU), and Vicinal Diketones (VOK) control;
• Prepare, conduct, and implement Grist analysis;
• Aid in the preparation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
• Conduct the Waste Management control;
• Prepare the packaging of Durlin samples (company and partners’ compliance);
• Conduct effluent monitoring and process water monitoring control;
• Analysis of reservoir water and daily counter control;
• Monitor and supervise stability and Turbidity control;
• Conduct Noise reading analysis;
• Supervise and monitor tasting session control;
• Perform related duties as required by the supervisor.

POSITION SPECIFICATION (Education, Training, Experience, Skills):

• BSc degree in Chemistry/Biology
• Training or experience in basic Laboratory and brewing processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good human relations
• Problem-solving ability
• Analytical ability
• Ability to work under pressure and take initiative
• Ability to perform highly physical tasks
