Lead Field Trainer
Description:
The Lead Field Trainer (LFT) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing program recruitment, training and monitoring efforts in Grand Gedeh County. The Program is designed
to strengthen psychosocial well-being and conflict resolution and collaboration skills among youth. The LFT will teach psychosocial skills building courses, facilitate youth and stakeholder dialogues, train and supervise field trainers and support participants in the application of their newly learned skills in their communities.
Responsibilities:
∙ Supervise County implementation of Program activities.
∙ Train participants, field trainers and facilitators in a range of psychosocial, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
∙ Data collection and entry
∙ Train field team in interviewing and data collection skills.
∙ Support ongoing implementation and training efforts across Program field sites. ∙ Mentor trainers and facilitators and supervise training activities.
Qualifications:
∙ Post-secondary degree in psychology, counseling, nursing, theology, social work or other certified and relevant psychosocial training.
∙ 5 years of facilitation experience in an open-dialogue context.
∙ 5 years of experience working on-the-ground in Liberia in a psychosocial, conflict resolution and/or facilitation capacity.
∙ Experience working with psychological trauma, group dynamics or negotiations helpful but not required.
Expectations:
∙ Ability to work, adapt to local situations and solve problems independently. ∙ Ability to work well in and with teams in person and virtually.
∙ Ability to promote the Program and its activities to and build relationships with local, national and international actors from civil society, the government and the private sector.
∙ Ability to travel (paid for), work and live most of the time in Grand Gedeh County, after some time training in Nimba. .
Salary:
Full-time Psychosocial Field Trainer hired through NCJPC Salary is up to US-$800 per month, commensurate with experience.
We anticipate an initial probationary period of 6 months.
