Job Title: Livelihood Officer ( 1)

Location: Grand Bassa County

Reporting To: Program Manager

Contract duration: Fixed Term

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the job beneficiaries to ensure effective implementation and active participation in, ownership and sustainability of programme activities. Specifically, as an extension worker, the Field officer will be responsible for grass root implementation of the programme in selected communities assigned to him or her within Grand Bassa County.

Responsibilities:

  • He/she is to Provide insight and information during project planning and implementation;
  • To Mobilized relevant stakeholders/project beneficiaries for various meetings, training workshops and other project activities in close collaboration with the Programme Manager (PM), they will include and not limited to the community members and elders, county government officials, National government officials, CSOs, religious leaders and the local media stations among others. This will also entail developing report with both private and public stakeholders concerned in the project;
  • To Coordinate and report writing of training workshops and stakeholder meetings in collaboration with PM. Collaborate in monthly project report according to the requirements of LACD and Concern World Wide;
  • Administering of various data collection tools and templates for data collection in collaboration with M&E Manager.
  • He/She will also be responsible for collecting and reporting stakeholder feedback using the available tools;
  • Attend relevant interagency County and national level meetings, trainings and conferences as maybe required;
  • Offer technical support to TOTs as they develop and deliver weekly and monthly work plans in close coordination with the PM;
  • Work closely with the PM and M&E to disseminate IEC materials and any other information in the County;
  • He/she shall be the custodian of data and information for LACD and shall transmit to the head office whenever called upon;
  • Together with the project team, the Livelihood Officer shall be responsible to ensure implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning from the project activities, he shall play a key role in development of success stories from the field.
  • He/she will be responsible to roll out trainings to smallholder farmers (SHFs) and the community saving loan associations (CSLAs);
  • He/she will work with all the smallholder farmers and the CSLA groups in all the project activities in the counties
  • He/she will coordinate with concern field staff during the project implementation period;
  • He/she will submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on the activities
  • He/she will represent LACD at the communities and districts levels meetings
  • He/she is to abide by LACD and CONCERN code of conduct and associated policies.
  • Perform other duties that will be required

Experience & Qualification:

  • He/ she must be a college graduate with a degree in Agriculture/Sociology or a graduate from a technical school/college with a diploma/certificate in agriculture/social work and other related Fields
  • At least two years working experience in field management and have lived in Grand Bassa county which is an added advantage.
  • Have experience in riding bike
  • Have experience in Word, Excel and Power point.
