POSITION SUMMARY
The Loan Officer is responsible for the full cycle of client engagement, credit assessment, loan disbursement, and portfolio management within an assigned territory or client segment. The Loan Officer is the primary point of contact between TMI and its clients, ensuring that loans are extended to creditworthy borrowers, disbursed efficiently, and recovered on schedule. The Loan Officer plays a critical role in maintaining portfolio quality, building client relationships, and supporting TMI’s financial literacy mission.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
| Education | Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Candidates with relevant Diploma and strong practical microfinance or banking experience will be considered. |
| Experience | Minimum 2 years of experience in loan origination, credit assessment, or client-facing roles within a microfinance institution, commercial bank, NBCO, or credit union. Prior experience with payroll-linked lending or salary advance products is a strong advantage. Experience working with civil servants, SMEs, or community-based clients in Liberia or West Africa is an advantage. |
| Technical Skills | Credit assessment principles; income and cash flow analysis; loan sizing; Microsoft Excel proficiency; loan management software familiarity; ability to calculate repayment schedules and outstanding balances accurately. |
| Personal Competencies | Strong interpersonal and communication skills; high integrity; self-motivated; organized; detail-oriented; ability to work independently in the field and with diverse community clients. |
