Job Purpose:
Under the direct Supervision and the guidance of the Admin & Finance Manager, the Logistics Assistant will be in charge of providing support to the various departments for the management of the logistics activities related to Fleet, Warehouse, Procurement and General Logistics and he /she will perform as necessary miscellaneous job-related duties. He / she will also be in charge of driving the LNRCS team and the materials and equipment for the programs activities when required by the Logistics Coordinator.
Lateral Relationships
Build effective working relationships with other departments, chapters and branches and ensure the flow of relevant information in both directions to ensure the views of communities’ influences key decisions.
Qualification and Experience:
Education | · University degree or Diploma in Logistics/Management/Supplies · Professional qualification in Administration and Logistics · Must have a valid driving license, Valid ECOWAS passport driving license, First Aid certificate/knowledge |
Experience | · 02 years of working in similar position, · Good driving experience in remote areas of Liberia and knowledge of Liberia road network, · Experience in working with a wide range of individuals irrespective of culture and socio-economic status. · Working experience in Humanitarian environment. RC/RC Experience. |
Knowledge and Skills | · Good Knowledge of Logistics Standards (Purchasing, Storage, Stocks, Rehabilitation, Inventories…) · Good knowledge and Familiar with the Liberia’s traffic rules and regulations including safety signs, etc · Good Knowledge in Mechanics (Able to hear and understand unusual vehicle sounds, horns, sirens and other ordinary traffic sounds and warnings) · Ability to solve practical problems and react quickly and calmly to changing or emergency circumstances · Ability to work in compliance with established Logistics policies and procedures · Ability to read and understand rules, operating and maintenance manuals, company procedures and customary travel documents · Ability to drive whenever required for work purposes · Ability to produce a report · Good interpersonal and communication ability · Discretion and Loyalty, Integrity and good personal conduct |
