About PREVAIL:
PREVAIL, or the Partnership for Research on Vaccines and Infectious Diseases in Liberia, is a clinical research partnership between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Liberian Ministry of Health
Summary of Position:
This position will serve as a Logistician responsible for working with the US Embassy Expedited team on all shipments (perishable and ambient) coming into the country, fleet management and logistical activities at PREVAIL’s project sites.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Description of Responsibilities:
 Works with the US Embassy expedited team on the clearing of all international shipments (ambient and perishable) at the airport/seaport and delivers to the warehouse.
 Processes Laboratory and Pharmacy perishable supplies to include reading of temp-ale data and storage at various freezing points ( -80C֯, -20C֯ and 2 -8֯C).
 Coordinates tracking of shipments that are in route to Liberia.
 Notifies partners of shipment receipt and reports any discrepancies/conditions during shipment transit.
 Supports the Warehouse and Receiving Coordinator with the receipt of supplies from local vendors.
 Supports the Warehouse and Receiving Coordinator with the physical verification and stocking of supplies received.
 Prepares purchase requisition (PR) for supplies replenishment and submits to the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager.
 Supports inter-sites logistics activities such as transfer and retrieval of items.
 Manages project fleet activities to include project staff daily transportation, international guest ground transportation, daily hires, and vehicle/truck rentals to manage warehouse outflow shipments.
 Participate in after-hours emergency response.
 Participates in process improvement activities.
 Maintains safe work environment.
 Reports to work on time and performs all daily functions.
 Follows standard operating procedures.
 Performs other duties as assigned.

 Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Experience in inbound and outbound logistics and supply chain.
• Ability to adapt and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with cold-chain maintenance and procedures.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets and inventory management software.
• Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
 Excellent oral and written communication/reporting skills.
Qualifications:
 Education: Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related fields.
A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is an added advantage.
 Preferred Job-related Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible experience including three (3) years as a Logistician or equivalent level.
 Preferred Job-related Experience: At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
 Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Good writing, reporting and communication skills.
