VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Living Water International (LWI), headquartered in Houston, Texas – USA, is a global Christian non-governmental organization that exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water and to experience “Living Water,” the gospel of Jesus Christ which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. LWI programs are clustered into three key sectors mainly, water access, hygiene & sanitation promotion, and Church & Community engagement. Since its inception in 1990, Living Water has seen incredible growth in its over 32-years history. The organization has maintained active operations in 21 countries across Africa, India, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Living Water is involved in designing and constructing simple and larger, piped water systems utilizing groundwater development (boreholes), gravity flow systems, solar power, surface water abstraction, rainwater harvesting, and a variety of other technologies. Living Water has completed over 21,000 community water projects including various water access technologies, Sanitation and Hygiene training, and community mobilization through existing local institutions.
The following position has become available at Living Water International for Liberian
nationals only.

POSITION: LOGISTICS OFFICER
The preferred candidate will be required to:
• Liaise with project staff to identify procurement needs and define material specifications.
• Identify potential local sources of goods and services, meeting supplier representatives as appropriate, request and assess competitive quotations, agree prices and delivery dates, monitoring progress etc…
• Maintain all logistics records, including an effective filing system for storing procurement documentation to enable tracking and auditing.
• Ensure detailed records are kept and analysis made of work-related injuries, accidents, security incidents and fatalities to staff.
• Ensure all staff in the procurement function understand and follow LWI Standard procedures.
• Identify warehousing requirements and arrange physical facilities for storage at project sites in consultation with HR/Program Manager, including managing drivers and warehouse staff.
• Establish and maintain a stock inventory management system, including stock control and detailed receipt/dispatch records; provide reconciled stock reports.
• Ensure documentation and reporting of losses / damages. Oversee reconstitution of damaged or short weight commodities and arrange destruction of infested and damaged items.
• Responsibility for daily use, security, and servicing, fuel and spares/tools stores and usage for local project vehicle fleet.
• Ensure project staff are trained and proficient in correct equipment usage and required communications protocols, conducting, or arranging additional training as required.
• Ensure all those authorized to drive LWI vehicles (formal drivers and team members) meet the standard and have up to date valid licenses.

The preferred candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
• Experience in handling logistics and procurement
• 3+ years experience in a Logistics Officer role
• Proven track record of successful project management
• Ability to think and act fast.
• High flexibility
• Strong sense of urgency and work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Resourceful and focuses on the solution rather than the problem.
• Can tolerate working under uncertain circumstances and sometimes difficult situations.
