Build effective working relationships with other departments, chapters and branches and ensure the flow of relevant information in both directions to ensure the views of communities’ influences key decisions.

 

Qualification and Experience:

Education
  • Associate degree or equivalences in Social Sciences, Health Sciences data management with research experience and proficiency.
  • Diploma or technical qualification in data management and analysis especially in the use and experience of SPSS, STATA or other research and or data analytical tools.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating project activities and output
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation supervision and regulations.
  • Work experience in M & E is required with NGOs, demonstrated experience in the implementation of surveys, interviews, and assessments is essential
  • Technical writing skills are necessary with demonstrated understanding of qualitative and quantitative indicators.
  • Project management skills with familiarity with basic tools such as log frame results framework, M & E Plan, etc
Knowledge and Skills
  • Very good knowledge of computers
  • Good Management problem – solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in stressful environments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow strict work requirements, procedures and protocols with very high level of integrity and trustworthiness without compromises, irrespective of personalities
  • Must possess excellent skills in facilitation, teambuilding and coordination; experience in training facilitation is a plus.
Language:
  • Very good command of written and spoken English

DUTIES Applicable to all:

 

  1. Work towards the achievement of the National Society’s mandate in the country through effective managerial and lateral relationships and teamwork.

 

  1. Ensure understanding of roles, responsibilities, lateral relationships and accountabilities.

 

  1. Perform other work-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the line manager or the Secretary General.

 

Job duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate performance review meetings where performance trends and exceptions are discussed with technical leads, and corrective actions are identified, Lessons learned are also identified, along with potential risks project implementation, and associated preventive actions
  • Lead efforts to ensure data used for decision making are of good quality through capacity building initiative at data collective and processing points.
  • Work closely with the PMER Officer in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi – annual and annual narrative reports of the NS and all SRC funded projects.
  • Participate in the development, review and presentation of abstracts and success stories on project accomplishments,
  • Identify source documents for new indicator and pattern of information flow and critical assumptions for meeting project deliverables.
  • Contribute facilitate the tracking of program indicators to measure performance against benchmark / targets and track tends of project performance
  • Serve as technical assistant to the PMER and project teams responsible for compiling, analysing and sharing field data with management. The data will be validated by the PMER Officer based on available evidence and the LNRCS / SRC proposals, budgets and action plan.
  • Work closely with the PMER to gather tools for field data collection and processing and supporting technical teams to support field activities.
  • Work closely with PMER to lead on LNRCS / SRC assessments, surveys, reviews among others.
  • Develop and maintain in collaboration with PMER and all technical teams, an effective information database on the project activities.
  • Work closely with CEA, Communications, PSS, PGI and PMER to develop and institutionalize an effective feedback mechanism and local level solutions development process
  • Ensure quality control of data and information collection, through regular review of data collection processes and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems
  • Support the PMER Officer to consolidate reports on assessments, reviews and of project reports with final achievements of indicators against targets.
  • Support the PMER, NSD/Program and all technical teams, to organize and ensure all data are collected and processed for the capitalization of lessons learned and good practices identified in the context of the operation;
  • Support the PMER, Programs team to organize lessons learnt and knowledge sharing workshops for effective operations performance improvement
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to programmes/projects and provide detailed monitoring reports to the PMER Officer.
  • Set plan for data completion, writing of the operational plans, monthly, quarterly and final report and other periodical documentation.
  • Ensure that programme field activities and events meet minimum standards in delivery and planning.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
