MAJOR DUTIES OF JOB HOLDER: Maximizing equipment availability and reliability
through most effectively using planned maintenance
Work scope:
Create job plans and keep them updated to ensure or extend the life expectancy of
equipment therefore aiding in the total reduction of maintenance cost and increasing
output of product.
Apply personal expertise and knowledge while managing planning/scheduling
processes to ensure appropriate daily, short term, and long-range planning and
scheduling techniques are followed and executed properly
To plan, schedule and coordinate all plannable maintenance work performed within
the facility
Ensure quality control in the application of planning processes and procedures
Ensure budget, forecast costs, parts availability and overall materials management
processes etc. are in line with expectations
To align information and expectation of work with operation and maintenance before
equipment is taken out of service
To develop annual overhaul/ shutdown schedules for all equipment fleet
To keep records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of
maintenance-related matters.
Support the Superintendent’s success in ultimate safe job outcome and overall
departmental effectiveness
Provide adequate and timely feedback to division Superintendent on planning
processes and schedule
Education Requirements for this position (Formal qualifications)
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Administration
Desirable
Minimum 4 years relevant experience in maintenance and data processing activities.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical/ electrical systems
Excellent knowledge of maintenance best practices
Basic knowledge of finance
Key experiences needed prior to taking this position
Essential
Minimum of two years working experience in related field;
Relevant experience in planning.
Fluency in English and excellent communication skills;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook, etc.);
especially Excel.
Excellent knowledge of SAP (MM, PM modules)
Strong analytical and communication skills.
