MISSION/CORE PURPOSE
The Manager, HR Operations shall play a pivotal role in the development and administering of innovative HR programs, policies, practices and procedures with focus on employees’ welfare and engagement, Compensation and Benefits Administration; Expatriates Management; Labor Relations, HR Reporting and Analytics, amongst others to boast employees’ morale and performance thus driving the concept of “Employer of Choice

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Performance

· Develop or update and implement HR policies, practices and procedures to improve efficiency and

· Develop and implement innovative HR programs with focus on Employees’ Welfare and Engagement which will include birthday projects, staff forum and fantastic Fridays, CEO’s Lunch with staff, CEO Breakfast meetings, amongst others.

· Supervise the preparation of HR Reports to NASSCORP, Liberia Immigration Services, Ministry of Labor, EXCOM and the Board.

· Oversee MTN Liberia Recognition and Reward Platforms, programs and policies including MTN shine platform.

· Ensure timely and accurate data preparation for surveys including GCA, Sentimeter, Psychometric, Pulse, etc and monitor participation for full compliance.

· Coordinate all Disciplinary Hearings and reporting in a timely manner consistent with the Disciplinary Code of MTN Liberia.

· Ensure the proper administration of the HR HCM platform.

· Coordinate the Leave Administration; HCM Access; Employees ID Card and Access Passes.

· Oversee the administration of all travels and expense processing.

· Handle Payroll administration and benefits scheme.

· Develop, implement, maintain and review remuneration Policies, Processes & Procedures (PPP)

· Handle EXPAT Management services; Cultural diversity experience

· Supervise HRBPs to ensure full delivery of their job expectations.

· Build and maintain relationship with hospitals, insurance companies and other external vendors for the purpose of ensuring smooth administering of employees’ welfare

· Represent HOD or Company at external activities in the absence of the HOD.

· Have full understanding of Labor Law, Immigration processes and regulations.

· Have full understanding of LCC MTN’s Policies, processes and procedures.

· Support in budget formulation, tracking and monitoring

· Ensure proper filing of employees documents/file

· Liaise with Corporate Communications Department to ensure improvement of communication with employees

· Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Supervisory /Managerial/ Leadership Complexity:

· Conduct regular weekly staff meetings to track staff performance(s) and encourage feedback.

· Build one-on-one relationship with team members.

· Ensure annual leave compliance.

· Manage, monitor and ensure staff adherence to punctuality of attendance and lunch breaks

· Ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedures of he HRD

· Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress and maintain motivation

· Manage performance of team.

· Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions by ensuring that the identified gaps are covered

· Encourage staff to actively participate in the Group Culture Audit (GCA) Survey

· Recognize hardworking and committed staff under the HR Recognition & Reward Scheme (MTN Shine)

· Support assigned HR Business Partners in implementing HR policies and procedures.

 

Independent thought and Judgment:

· Independent thought and judgement based on experience

· Independent thought and judgement should always be in strict alignment with the standard

· operating procedures of the HR Department.

 

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education

· Bachelor’s degree in management, Sociology, Human Resources or related field

· Certificate in Human Resources Management/SPHR/SRHM or Membership with professional Associations

· Master’s in business administration, HR Management, related field is an added advantage;

 

Experience

· Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant working experience with three (3) years in similar role or at HR Manager level in a multinational corporation, INGO or Telco

· Proven track record of achievements in similar role

· Minimum of seven years (7) years’ demonstrated experience at a HR Coordinator/Supervisor level

· Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
