| MISSION/CORE PURPOSE | |||
| To define, develop, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of MTN’s fintech products and services, ensuring innovation, customer value, revenue growth, and competitive market positioning. This role leads product strategy, market research, development, enhancement, performance management, and cross-functional execution to deliver scalable digital financial services in line with MTN’s Ambition 2030 and Fintech strategy. | |||
| CORE RESPONSIBILITIES | |||
| Key Performance Area: Product Strategy & Portfolio Management · Develop and execute the MFS product roadmap aligned with MTN Fintech strategy. · Identify market opportunities through research, customer insights, and competitive analysis. · Own end-to-end product lifecycle (concept → launch → optimization → retirement). · Define product value propositions, pricing models, and revenue targets. · Ensure products are scalable, secure, and compliant with Central Bank regulations.
New Product Development & Innovation · Lead product concept development for: · Mobile Wallet services · Merchant & Enterprise Payments · International & Domestic Remittances · Savings & Micro-lending (in partnership with financial institutions) · Bill Payments & Government Collections · Prepare business cases, financial models, and ROI projections. · Coordinate with Technology, IT, Risk, Compliance, and external partners during deployment. · Drive digital innovation and fintech partnerships. Revenue & Performance Management · Monitor product performance KPIs: · Active wallet growth · Transaction volumes & values · ARPU · Revenue & margin contribution · Conduct product profitability analysis. · Recommend pricing adjustments and promotional strategies. · Drive usage campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. Customer Experience & Market Competitiveness. · Ensure seamless user journey across USSD, App, and Agent channels. · Reduce friction points and transaction failures. · Gather feedback from customers, agents, merchants, and enterprise clients. · Benchmark against competitors and regional best practices.
Regulatory & Risk Alignment · Ensure all products comply with: · Central Bank of Liberia regulations · AML/CFT requirements · Consumer protection guidelines · Collaborate with Risk & Compliance teams on product risk assessments. · Ensure adequate controls are embedded within product processes.
Stakeholder & Partner Management · Manage relationships with: Banks & financial institutions international remittance partners · Government agencies Billers & corporate partners · Negotiate commercial terms and service-level agreements. · Drive ecosystem expansion strategy. | |||
| QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE | |||
| Education · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, IT, or related field. · Master’s degree (MBA) is an added advantage. · 3–5 years’ experience in: · Fintech / Mobile Money · Banking Products · Telecom Value Added Services · Digital Financial Services Experience · 5 years exposure in telecommunications working across product development and marketing, including at least 3 years of VAS, data and digital products experience · Experience in planning, analysing and managing various projects across a fast-paced business environment · Experience at management level in a Telecommunication environment is an added advantage | |||
