Job Title: Market linkage & entrepreneurship Intern (x1)

Location: Buchanan, Grand Bassa County

Duration: Six Months

Salary: $250.00

Responsibilities:

Nurture a functional market information system (MIS) for value chains promoted by PARTNERS programme – Cassava, groundnut, pineapple, plantain, cowpeas, groundnut and vegetables; Link-up SHFs, MGs, and Entrepreneurs to meaningful markets locally and outside their districts, markets, Actively participate in conducting weekly and monthly assessments on prices for value chains promoted by the PARTNERS programme, Provide market mentorship to Entrepreneurs implementing demo site commercialisation, managing storage and processing centres; also SHFs and MGs doing IGAs, Work with Local partners to activate and use effective and efficient MIS channels especially radio and the SMS platform (where possible); Identify wholesalers with Common Interest Group (CIG) for petty trade, large businesses etc; Support Entrepreneurs in the area of negotiating prices with potential wholesalers and other buyers.

Experience & Qualification:

∙ Degree in a related area. Passionate about helping rural farmers (especially female farmers) to reach local markets and sell their produce ∙ Experience in data collection and research an advantage

∙ Previous exposure in the area of marketing or business.

∙ Experience and skills in setting, managing and achieving targets in marketing.

∙ Good business and marketing skills

∙ Good planning and communication skills

∙ Capacity to undertake multiple assignments
