Location: Based in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County (Additional travels outside of Grand Bassa may be required).
Reporting To: Programme Manager-Integrated Programme – LIFE
Responsible For: The role focuses on strengthening smallholder agricultural production, enhancing access to finance and markets, promoting gender equality
and social inclusion, and building community capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship. By linking farmers, private sector actors, and
local institutions, LIFE seeks to create sustainable, market-driven food systems that enable poor households—especially women and
youth—to increase their incomes and nutritional well-being.
Contract duration: Fixed term
Job Purpose: The Market Systems Development Technical Adviser (MSDTA) is a technical position within the LIFE Programme team and will be
responsible for leading the programme’s transition towards a systems-based approach to livelihoods and food security programming.
The MSDTA will ensure that market systems development (MSD) and private sector engagement are integrated across all outcomes to
enable smallholder farmers, women, and youth to participate equitably and sustainably in local and regional markets.
