Materials Technician (2 positions)
Overview:
Imperial 88 Construction and Consultancy is looking for a Materials Technician
to join our team on a long term full time Contract. This position is an excellent career

We are looking for a self-driven, multi-tasking, talented individual with excellent
technical skills, who has aspiration for advancement to perform the duties and
responsibilities listed below.
Role description:
➢ Conducts a wide variety of materials testing in addition to some limited public works
inspections;
➢ Performs a variety of tests on materials to determine temperature, unit weight, slump,
yield, and air entrainment and functionality;
➢ Involves working in close proximity to heavy construction equipment;
➢ Testing of material’s characteristics, like chemical composition;
➢ Assessing the cost, reliability, safety and environmental impact of materials;
➢ Researching new ways to use materials in the development of products;
➢ Maintains accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance;
➢ Assessing the risks posed by hazardous materials;
➢ Analyzing test results and writing reports;
➢ Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform required tasked;
➢ Performs other required duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering;
• A minimum of one year of paraprofessional engineering work and or construction
materials testing experience;
• Multi-task operator and must possess a valid Driver’s License;
• Problem solving and analytical skills.

• Logical thinking skills.

• Excellent diplomacy skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal
and professional relationships with diverse project team members

• Willingness to travel nationally to project sites
