Position Overview
The Mathematics Faculty Member is responsible for teaching courses in mathematics, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills, and inspiring students to appreciate the role of mathematics in science, technology, and everyday life. This role may also involve research, curriculum development, and student mentorship depending on the institution level.
Key Responsibilities
• Teaching & Instruction
o Teach undergraduate or graduate-level courses in mathematics (e.g., algebra, calculus, statistics, applied mathematics).
o Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
o Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
o Provide individualized support and feedback to students.
• Curriculum Development
o Design and update syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
o Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technology into the classroom.
o Align course content with departmental and accreditation standards.
• Research
o Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Student Support
o Advise students on academic pathways, research opportunities, and career goals.
o Mentor students in mathematics clubs, competitions, or research projects.
o Encourage critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
• Service & Collaboration
o Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives.
o Contribute to outreach programs promoting mathematics education in the community.

Qualifications
