General Overview:
The Monitoring and evaluation officer is responsible for the design, implementation of strong M&E
Framework work for organization and the general M&E requirements of all donor’s funded projects of Child
Smile. He/she is responsible amongst others to design logical framework, identify indicators and the system
for tracking progress towards indicators.
Specific Duties:
He/she will lead the implementation of strong M&E System for the organization and all donor’s
funded projects;
Support staff members in setting up systems for program M&E System
Lead the design and development of templates including administration of surveys and data
collection tools.
Lead field monitoring, supervision, data collection and analysis;
Support and lead all research initiatives and ensure donor compliance
Responsible for collation of data, presentation and dissemination in line with data protocol
Responsible for data quality assessment
Provide supports in the grant acquisition process, through data supports, drafting of logical
framework, theory of change and result framework including budget
Provide all other professional supports as required by the supervisor
Education and Experience:
Must have Bachelor Degree and or (2) years progressive experience working as M&E
Knowledge and skill:
Have excellent writing and analytical skills
Have a high level of computer literacy
Have advanced quantitative skills, including knowledge of statistical programs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
Ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; flexibility to changing situations
and priorities desired.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate
and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet M&E needs.
