Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Within the framework of the plant’s objectives the mission is to ensure the quality of the mechanical operations, the practical application of the mechanical operations, manage and motivate the team and ensure coordination and cooperation between departments

Performance criteria

• Ensures the quality of the mechanical operations
• Carries out the maintenance works satisfactorily and within the set timeframe
• Takes appropriate action is when mechanical incidents occur
• Guarantees the safety of the people and equipment
• Optimizes maintenance costs and manages the budget
• Promotes the quality of the work and motivates personnel
• Develops their skills by internal and external training to updated on technical developments

Responsibilities

• Execution of maintenance work performed
• Develop working methods, defines procedures and ensures that they are implemented
• Ensures proper scheduling, planning of work, resources and execution
• Contributes to/participates in the 3-year investment plan
• Ensures the permanent update of the personnel skills, develops and implements a training and individual coaching plan
• Assists in defining the budget of the department and negotiates with Management
• Facilitates communications and relationships :

• Conducts department meetings regularly,
• Conveys management policies to subordinates,
• Communicates results to top management,

• Keeps informed of general plant practices so as to ensure “on-call” duty
• Manages plant safety and environment

Educational background

Prospective or recent graduate with Degree in mechanical engineering.

Technical skills

Knowledge of products and processes; general knowledge of practical mechanical operations; problem-solving and trouble-shooting ability; knowledge of safety laws and regulations; working knowledge in the development of quality management methods, such as example ISO 9000 and TPM, desirable; hands-on experience

Interpersonal skills

Team leadership; ; good organization skills; capacity for development decision-making ; takes initiative; Results- oriented; Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
