ABOUT THE MECHANICAL FOREMAN ROLE
The Mechanical Foreman plays a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical equipment essential for brewing and packaging operates effectively and reliably. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and ensuring product quality. The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supporting production, upholding equipment integrity, and ensuring that the brewery functions efficiently and safely.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head of the heavy and light-duty equipment/garage
Provided service for all heavy and light duty (Trucks, Forklifts, cars, generators, etc.)
Report on the conditions of all the equipment to the CMR
Troubleshooting and inspection of all the heavy and light-duty equipment
Keep tools, equipment, and work area cleaned, organized, and in good condition at all times
Adhere to the company’s environmental, safety, health, and quality standards
Supervise heavy and light-duty mechanics, manage their performance, and do an annual performance review
Willing to work on weekends or extra hours if it is required
Will be on call for a breakdown during working days and weekends and should be willing to attend to the calls from the drivers or the CMR. Perform other related duties as assigned
Reporting to CMR
Control of container offloading
Keep a record of all the equipment (Cars, Forklifts, Generators…)
Coordination of drivers
Responsible for the workers in the tools room
Control tools room and ensure that the correct tools are issued and receipt provided
Control of defective and missing tools and report to the CMR
Control of correct issues and reception of all the parts
Perform other related duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATION (Education, Training, Experience, Skills):
Completion of high school or mechanical engineering is a plus
Vocational/technical training in heavy and/or light-duty mechanic
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Experience in heavy and light-duty equipment
Good tools and equipment management skills
Ability to drive and possession of a valid heavy-duty driver’s license
Good communication and organized skills
willingness to learn and work in a team
Strong knowledge of mechanic safety issues in the use of tools, equipment, and machinery, correct and report safety hazards
Ability to work under pressure
Good troubleshooting skills
Analytical ability
Must be able to read mechanical drawings
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Good computer skills/excel, word
Ability and experience to create reports for parts and equipment
Good problem-solving skills
Good leadership skills
