Medical Front Office Receptionist
Position Summary
The Medical Front Officer Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and visitors at the medical center. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient registration, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
The Medical Front Office Receptionist plays a critical role in supporting daily medical operations and ensuring efficient patient flow. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Patient Registration & Intake
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Obtain and accurately enter personal, demographic, and insurance information into the EMR system
- Verify and correct eligibility and collect required documentation
- Ensure all necessary consent and registration forms are completed and signed
Appointment & Patient Flow Management
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments (including online bookings via the medical System)
- Inform patients and families of estimated wait times
- Monitor and coordinate patient flow, including room placement when required
- Immediately notify clinical staff of urgent or emergency medical concerns
Customer Service & Communication
- Answer and direct telephone calls using professional customer service standards
- Address patient inquiries regarding medical services and educate patients about available programs or follow-up care
- Escalate patient complaints or concerns to the Nursing Director when necessary
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with medical policies
Administrative & Facility Support
- Ensure front desk supplies are adequately stocked
- Monitor proper functioning of office equipment and report issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and restrooms to reflect a positive image of Sanctuary-Care
- Support administrative tasks as assigned
Safety & Compliance
- Promptly report any patient or employee safety concerns to the Nursing Director
- Follow medical policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, clinic management systems)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, or clinic setting preferred
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is an advantage
