Position: MILL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER: (Ref#: MAINT-Eng. / GSI – 001-20)
Persons Needed: One (1)
Duty Station: Golden SIFCA Mill, Gbolobo, Pleebo-Sodoken District, Maryland County
Duration: Permanent (to begin with a contractual period to be specified)

Mission: To efficiently carry out the following:-
- Upkeep and maintain all mechanical & electrical aspects of the mill, in order to have a continuous and successful flow of oil processing in achievement of required targets.
In accordance with the above, the professional MILL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER shall assume the following General and Technical competencies:
- Inspect parts of machines with precision and measuring tools;
- Test operation of machines periodically;
- Fix issues that occur during the shift;
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws;
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products;
- Keep records of their outputs and compare same with the production schedule;
- Prepare daily reports and ensure Machine Operator’s log book is filled with proper / correct shift handover;
- Issue Permit to Work for maintenance crew before any maintenance work is done in the processing plant;
- Ensure LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) system is properly implemented in the factory;
- Supervise a team of workers, arrange their shifts and train them to work safely;
- Implement preventive maintenance programs for all plants and machineries;
- Conduct daily briefings for all subordinates before starting work;
- Ensure all the Standard Operating Procedures are followed;
- Supervise the work of Junior Staffs;
- Organise relevant training sessions;
- Implement Company’s Social & Environmental policies;
- Ensure all machines and safety equipment are installed properly, eg belting, conveyor cover, etc.;
- Ensure all measuring instrument-indicators on all stations show numbers according to specified standards;
- Maintain cleanliness of machines location before and after processing every day;
- Confidentiality of working data and proceedings must be maintained at all times, revealing such details to third parties regardless of who they are is a serious offence;
- Plan, develop, train and empower existing downline human resources to take on additional and higher responsibilities;
- Motivate, supervise and guide subordinates-staffs in order to develop their potential and improve their performance;
- Implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in the work sites and ensure compliance with Safety, HSE, PPE systems and procedures to aim at Zero accident &
- Carry out supervision on works performed by the technicians and any other task given by Management from time to time.
Qualification /Requirements:
- BSc. in Industrial Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Engineering; with emphasis in the other (minimum) + 5YRS Experience in Mechanical Mill works;
- Willingness & ability to work in the practical operations of Mill Maintenance techniques;
- Ability & willingness to follow established procedures and practices & be innovative;
- Must be able & willing to work extra hours;
- Must be willing to learn and accept corrections to suit standards, as they are momentarily upgraded for better working conditions.
