The Golden SIFCA INCORPORATED (GSI), which is involved with the processing of Oil Palm; and operating in Maryland County – Liberia, requires the professional services of the following:
Position: MILL PROCESS SUPERVISOR: (Ref#: MPS / GSI – 001-20)

Duty Station: Golden SIFCA Mill, Gbolobo, Pleebo-Sodoken District, Maryland County
Duration: Fixed Term (with a probationary period to be specified)

Mission: To efficiently carry out the following:-
In accordance with the above, the professional Mill Process Supervisor shall assume the following General and Technical competencies:
- Assist the Process Engineer in the implementation and monitoring of FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) processing level by level;
- Ensure the number of employees is enough to conduct processing;
- Assist other Supervisors prepare materials needed for FFB processing;
- Assist the Process Engineer to develop working program for daily, weekly and monthly cleanings;
- Assist the Process Engineer to coordinate with the Maintenance Engineer to ensure the preparedness of the machines before the process begins;
- Check the number of FFB which is available before processing begins;
- Implement Company’s Social & Environmental policies;
- Supervise the loading of FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) into cages as per required capacity;
- Carry out ‘START‘ and ‘STOP‘ process as per instruction by the Process Engineer;
- Ensure the boiling process of FFB is operated automatically with supporting gadgets;
- Supervise & ensure that the filling of Hopper and Tippler Hoist Cranes do not occur under or over feeding;
- Make sure Digester is always full;
- Ensure all machines and safety equipment are installed properly before process starts: belting, conveyor cover, etc.
- Ensure measuring instrument / indicators on all stations show numbers according to specified standards;
- Supervise the consumption of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3);
- Visually monitor quality and losses and take requisite actions with other Supervisors when necessary;
- Monitor boiler operations to produce steam in accordance with constant & required pressure;
- Inform the Maintenance Engineer immediately, if damages are found to the machines or leakages on the pipes and valves during process;
- Maintain cleanliness of machines & work locations before and after processing every day;
- Collect worksheets / log-sheets from each station to be checked and signed by Process Engineer;
- Confidentiality of working-data and proceedings must be maintained at all times, revealing such details to third party regardless of who they are is a serious offence;
- Plan, develop, train and empower existing down-line human resources to take on additional and higher responsibilities;
- Motivate, supervise and guide subordinate-staffs in order to develop their potential and to improve their performances;
- Implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in the work site and ensure compliance with Safety, HSE, PPE systems and procedures to aim at Zero accident;
- Carry out supervisions on works performed by the electrical technician and any other task given by Management from time to time &
- Prepare and fill overtime forms for overtime orders for process workers requested by processing Engineer.
Qualification /Requirements:
- BSc. in Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR High School Diploma + Experience in Oil Palm Mill Processing.
- The candidate should have minimum Three years experience in industrial field (Factory operation)
- Willingness to be trained in the practical operations of Oil Palm Mill Ramp techniques;
- Ability & willingness to follow established procedures and practices;
- Must be able & willing to work extra hours;
- Must be willing to learn and accept corrections to suit standards, as they are momentarily upgraded for better working conditions.
