Join Medica Liberia to Help End Violence against Women and Girls

Who We Are:

medica Liberia (mL), formerly medica mondiale Liberia, is a non-governmental women’s rights organization working to support women and girls affected by sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Since 2006, Medica Liberia has implemented impactful programs in Liberia’s southeastern regions, recently expanding to Montserrado and Margibi counties with support from the German Government and other donors.

Project Background:

The ‘Strengthening Action Response and Services for SGBV in South-eastern Liberia, (STARS 4 SGBV) project is a three years project funded the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ireland through Irish Aid Liberia. The project focuses on scaling up prevention, response, and support services for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, and River Gee counties. The initiative aims to transform harmful gender norms, prevent violence against women and girls, and strengthen essential services for survivors.

Position Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

Reports To: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Duty Station: Duty Station: Sinoe, with frequent travel to Grand Gedeh and River Gee counties

Job Summary:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be responsible for accurate data entry, management, and analysis for the project at the county level. The role ensures that project data is reliable, accessible, and useful for decision-making and reporting to stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter data from project activities into designated databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Clean and validate data to maintain consistency and high-quality standards.
  • Generate data summaries, tables, and reports for project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with field staff and the M&E team to ensure timely data collection and submission.
  • Maintain a secure and organized system for storing and managing project data.
  • Support capacity-building efforts for field teams on data entry and management as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data entry and management, preferably within donor-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., Excel, Access, or statistical tools).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools is highly desirable.
  • Good organizational, report writing, and communication skills.
