Summary of Position:
The NREB Coordinator will serve as liaison between Principal Investigators, Case Managers, Study Coordinators, the IRB Chair and end users on IRB related matters.
The NREB Coordinator is recused from the IRB review process for PREVAIL studies.
Description of Responsibilities
 Assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and practices related to the conduct of the human subjects’ research within PREVAIL.
 Reviews documents submitted by Principal Investigators and Study Coordinators for IRB submission and extracts relevant information to establish the IRB meeting agendas.
 Establishes and maintains the meeting schedule and meeting agendas for IRB review meetings.
 Ensures timely communications and reporting of outcomes from the IRB meeting.
 Assists in drafting outcome letters to correspond on IRB review outcomes.
 Serves as a central contact for questions and problems related to the IRB submissions, overdue protocols and submission reviews and responses.
 Provides project management for the tracking, reporting, and communication of IRB actions.
 Keeps abreast of newly modified regulations that impact research on human subjects through literature searches and training.
 Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
• Ability to review sections of clinical trial protocols to ensure appropriate guidelines are followed for human subjects’ protections.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical individuals both internally and externally.

Qualifications
 Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a field related to health or life sciences, or four (4) years related experience in lieu of degree
 Preferred Job-related Experience: three (3) years related experience in clinical protocols or human subjects’ protection.
 Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Certification in regulatory affairs.
