Main Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Network Analyst will be to assist in the installation, layout, and maintenance of all network components. He/she will be responsible for first line technical support, maintenance and monitoring of our network services. Additionally, he/she will plan, design, analyze, and provide technical support for our data communications network or group of networks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the institution’s network infrastructure
- Prioritize workload to ensure service and project delivery targets are achieved
- Contribute to continuous service improvement customer (internal & external) outages and recommend
- Install, upgrade, and configure network printing, directory structures, user access, security, software, and file services.
- Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
- Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
- Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
- Establish user profiles, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed.
- Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as systems to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Work with vendors to resolve complex network problems.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cisco CCNA (certificates)or its equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office – MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access
- Network administration, network design and layout implementation experience highly desired
- A good working knowledge of routing and switching wireless technology
- An ideal candidate will be motivated to take ownership of daily/ongoing network projects, be capable of contributing to ongoing network redesigns and work well in team oriented environment.
- Must possess STRONG WRITTEN and VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS skills
- Must have no criminal record.
