POSITION SUMMARY
Participate in the design, development, and running an awareness campaign (door to door, jingles and radio talk show) on nutritional benefits of vegetables and poultry products that will be broadcast in standard English, plain Liberian English and local language;
Key Responsibilities
Duties /responsibilities of the successful candidate will include but not limited to:
- Participate in the design, development, and running of an awareness campaign (door to door, jingles and radio talk show) on nutritional benefits of vegetables and Food Security that will be broadcast in standard English, plain Liberian English and local language;
- Work in conjunction with technicians, farm manager, and vegetables professionals on research or teaching activities, including adoptive research with available local raw materials;
- Undertake research and advise on raw material product selection,
- Optimize feed specifications for growing vegetables at minimum cost to produce. This has two parts – establishing ideal nutrient specifications and then formulating the best combination of available ingredients –, which is constantly changing in nutrient value and price – to achieve these specifications;
- Participate and provide technical input in project content planning, realization and monitoring of project activities in consultation with the project;
- Perform other duties as may be required
Qualification and Experience
- At least five years of relevant experience with vegetables Nutrition work;
- Ability to work independently, under pressure to ensure work is achieved to a high standard and in a timely manner;
- An academic degree in Health Science, Nutrition, Agriculture and related disciplines;
- Strong verbal and written command of English;
- Good computer skills, especially MS Office;
- Results oriented, highly analytical, team builder and good interpersonal relationship;
- Excellent time-management, communication and organizational skills;
- Familiarity with the Liberia context analysis.
