About National Catholic Health Council Liberia (NCHC):
The National Catholic Health Council is a not-for-profit, separate legal entity established in 2016 by the Catholic Bishop Conference of Liberia (CABICOL). NCHC is the national health arm of the Catholic Church that is responsible to oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of all efforts of the Church to provide quality and affordable health services, health education, and training in Liberia. NCHC has three health secretariats located in the three Catholic Dioceses (Monrovia, Gbarnga, and Cape Palmas) and 23 health facilities in Liberia. Key partners include the Catholic Relief Services, the Government of Liberia (MoH), Misereor Germany, German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Agency, Global Fund, and local faith-based organizations.
About NCHC Nutrition Project:
The National Catholic Health Council (NCHC) is partnering with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Liberia to implement a 1-year Nutrition project. Healthy Living through Integrated Nutrition Activities (HELINA II) project is being funded by Latter Day Saint Charities (LDSC) and is focused on improving the nutrition of infants and children under age 2 in households with mothers under 25 years of age by creating an enabling environment for the adoption of key behaviors for improved nutrition among adolescent girls and young women and other adults in their households. Phase I of HELINA was earlier implemented last year, and this phase II of the project comes as a continuation of our nutrition intervention in the township of WestPoint.
Purpose:
The Project Officer will be responsible for the management, and implementation of field activities under the HELINA project, he/she will work closely with CRS Program Manager and NCHC Executive Director on the management of the project. The Project Officer’s role is to directly lead the day to day running of the project, planning of activities, conducting training, supervision of field activities, monthly report writing, and working with GoL partner to advance project goal

Leadership and Coordination
Project Strategy, Planning, and Program Support
Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
Reporting
maintaining accurate records of all relevant project performance indicators.
Monitoring/coordination reports as required by government institutions.
