Position Title OPERATION MANAGER

Conex Group is seeking individual with experience in Oil & Gas to fill the position for Operation
Manager.
Conex Petroleum Services is duly registered and is
based in Monrovia, Liberia.
1. Operational Management
• Oversee the importation process of petroleum products, ensuring timely and cost-effective
delivery.
• Manage the logistics of petroleum storage and distribution, including inventory control, and
scheduling.
• Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth and
efficient operations and reduce losses e.g. discharge losses, demurrage
• Review supply request from Sales/Marketing and prepare a plan considering inventory on
hand, sales projections and Vessel Nominations.
• Constantly analyze vulnerabilities that can cause liability for the company and suggest ways
to mitigate or eliminate them.
• Review and follow up on all claims.
2. Compliance and Safety
• Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international regulations and
standards, including environmental and safety regulations (LPRC, NPA etc.)
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure the
safety of employees and the environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
3. Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, including logistics coordinators, stocks
controller.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop training programs to enhance
team skills and performance.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee
engagement.

4. Financial Management
• Develop and manage the operations budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource
allocation.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as
needed.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure favourable terms and
pricing.
5. Strategic Planning and Execution
• Develop and implement operational strategies to support the company’s goals and growth
objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance
efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to anticipate challenges and opportunities.
6. Customer Service
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering quality products and services to
clients, internal and external.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Oversee and managing all aspects of the company daily operations, coordinates and ensuring efficient
and safe delivery of products and services. Manage manpower, budgets, and resources, with focus on
quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering with a recognized tertiary institution.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Petroleum Downstream Distribution /Operations.
• Proven Track Record on Managing People and Meeting Deadlines.
• Training /Coaching of staff
• Certified Tanker Discharge Officer
• Certified Safe Work Permit Officer
• Certified Product Quality Officer
• Be able to respond to any emergency Related to Industry operations
