JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Packaging Foreman
CLASSIFICATION: S4 / Contractor
REPORT TO: Bottling Plant Manager
DEPARTMENT: Bottling Plant
The Packaging Foreman is responsible for working with the Bottling Plant Administrator (BPA). He or she shall be responsible for the following:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support shift planning
- Inventory management
- Coordinate with casual supervisors in monitoring casuals’ performance;
- Creating efficiency in the plant by ensuring that the machine operators are efficient with their machines;
- Monitoring the production process closely (avoiding breakdown);
- Arranging warehouse (empties) in an orderly manner;
- Ensure the plant is clean daily;
- Coordinate with the forklift operators in clearing the previous day’s stock;
- Supervise the operators and the operation of the machines
- Work along with the Bottling Plant administrator to administer the Excise Tax Stamp for Production and report on usage/spoilage;
- Make sure all machines are set and ready to go.
- Work along with the administrator to prepare the quality of bottles in crates for production based on the volume of product in the cold room/filter plant;
- Check the CO2 content in the product before the filter starts.
- Fill in the Bottling Plant Quality Control Sheet.
- Work along with the administrator to prepare daily reports (efficiency, empties, and bottling reports)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATION (Education, Training, Experience, Skills):
- High school graduate. Post-high school education and training will be a plus
- Computer literacy
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in inventory management & clerical position
- Knowledge of industrial safety for individuals and equipment
- Punctuality, reliability, and thoroughness
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team
- Careful and diligent handling of equipment and materials
- A self-starter, able to take initiatives and learn quickly
- Commitment to the goals of the company
- Willing to take responsibilities, work overtime, and on weekends
