PROCUREMENT & LOGISTIC OFFICER

Job Identification

Job title: Procurement & Logistic Officer

Department: Finance

Organization Relationship

Directly reports to: Country Manager

Location: Monrovia, Liberia

Position Type: Full time (Period Service External Contract)

Hours: 48 hours per week

Length of contract: three Months (Renewable on performance)

By doing so, DKT has achieved tremendous health impact, and done it cost-efficiently. Although we work mostly in the private sector, we also support the public sector, often partnering with government health facilities to reach the total market.

Job Summary:

  • Manage the company’s supply of products and services.
  • Strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers by making sure we follow our Procurement Policy.
  • Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Work out logistical agreements with suppliers
  • Maintain and review purchasing, shipping, and receiving records.
  • Clearance the products at the ports
  • Monitor warehouse inventory
  • Supply our sales agent’s goods
  • Manage the product order’s deliveries

Position Requirements

Minimum Education

Work Experience

  • BScs in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or any Business-related discipline from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a similar role.

Skills and abilities

  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and review information pertaining to audits and audit reports.
  • Strong strategic orientation, demonstrable leadership, interpersonal and financial management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skill.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in use of accounting package software such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
