ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Product Assistant, you will work closely with our Product Development team to help coordinate product pilots, and monitor customer experience through surveys and evaluations, whilst supporting day-to-day activities. A particular focus will be on the ‘Tayyy Go’ line of products targeted to the on-grid and mini-grid market segments.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer Insight:
- Perform market research (primary and secondary data collection) on potential new products to be introduced
- Run surveys (and focus groups, if necessary) of customers to ascertain their broad product and service needs and present recommendations
- Perform customer, agent and shop visits to observe products in action and understand the customer (and sales team) experience
- Have frequent check-ins with sales, call centre, marketing and after-sales to get customer feedback on products
- Assist with Business Case development for our core products
- Product Pilots:
- Collaborate closely with customer facing teams (sales, marketing and customer care) as well as operations (for logistics and procurement) on product pilot implementation
- Identify new areas and mini-grid communities (in Winch and PowerGen mini-grids) to commence sales and engage Easy Solar Agents
- Work with marketing to create collateral and campaign messaging
- Develop internal training materials and customer usage guidelines
- Conduct internal training of customer facing teams on usage, run times, warranty, pricing etc.
- Stimulate Sales in pilots by managing activities and liaising with customer facing teams for support
- Internal business development:
- Provide administrative and project management support for a variety of projects
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or project management
- Technical background is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience working in project coordination (experience with M&E projects is a plus)
- Experience working in customer care or sales
- Ability to work in a team and self-manage their own responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Motivated to learn and grow in their position
- Communicates openly and honestly to people
- Can multitask
