Background:
VOSIEDA is partnering with UNICEF and other UN agencies to implement Empower and Nurture: Harnessing the Full Potential of Adolescent Girls in Liberia. The project responds to persistent gaps in adolescent health, nutrition, and protection, particularly in a context where harmful social norms, unequal power relations, and discriminatory gender practices continue to heighten the vulnerability of women and girls.
Based in Grand Gedeh, Rivercess, and Montserrado Counties, the Coordinator will work with the government, UN, and implementing partners to strengthen integrated nutrition services, support reporting, supervision, and data management, and coordinate school, clinics, community, and facility-based delivery for adolescent girls across the target counties and communities effectively.
Tasks and Functions
The position will focus on the provision of support to the management, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of interventions within the NEP program. The Program Coordinator is expected to provide technical support with a specific focus on the following elements:
1. Support to programme development and planning

| 2. Programme management, monitoring, and delivery of results § Prepare reports and follow up to identify gaps, strengths, and/or weaknesses in programme management. Identify lessons learned and use knowledge gained for development planning and timely intervention to program goals. § Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme reviews, and annual reviews with government and other counterparts to assess progress and to determine required action and interventions to achieve results. § Prepare and assess monitoring and evaluation reports to identify gaps, strengths, and/or weaknesses in programme management. Identify lessons learned and use knowledge gained for development planning and timely intervention to achieve goals. § Actively monitor programmes and projects through field visits, surveys, and/or exchange of information with partners and stakeholders to assess progress. Identify bottlenecks and potential problems and take timely decisions to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials for timely resolution. § Monitor and verify the optimum and appropriate use of sectoral programme resources (financial, administrative, and other assets), confirming compliance with organizational rules, regulations, procedures, donor commitments, and standards of accountability. § Ensure timely reporting and liquidation of resources. Prepare regular and mandated programme/project reports for management, donors, and partners to keep them informed of programme progress. |

Qualifications
Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s level or equivalent) is required in one of the following fields: nutrition, public health, global or international health and nutrition, health or nutrition research and monitoring, health policy and/or management, health sciences, nutritional epidemiology, or another relevant area of nutrition. Candidates with closely related academic qualifications that demonstrate specialization in nutrition may also be considered, provided the degree is recognized and relevant to the post.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of professional experience is required in nutrition, public health, maternal, infant, and child health/nutrition, or related health sciences. Experience in project management, health or nutrition programme, and project development is an added advantage. Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management and data manipulation.
