Job Title : PROJECT FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Duty Station : Country Office/Monrovia

 

Safeguarding Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve BRAC’s goals on safeguarding.
  2. Act as a resource of support and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  3. Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  4. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage other to do so.

 

Job Summary

Provide support to the project team in finance, procurement, logistics and stores activities for the smooth and effective delivery of BRAC’s FSRC project at project office and all field offices.

 

Key Duties

  • Assisting the Project Manager with monitoring and reviewing budgets and financial project reports to ensure financial stability, ongoing project viability, and compliance with donor requirements;

 

  • Prepare and submit regular financial reports as required by management and donor;

 

  • Bill payment and voucher preparation and recording, Cash and bank management and Fixed asset management;

 

  • Payroll Preparation, Bank Reconciliation, Withholding tax and National Security Tax preparation;

 

  • Cash and Bank transaction monitoring. Ensuring donor compliance are followed;

 

  • Preparation monthly BVA and donor reports, filling of project document-soft & hard copies;

 

  • Following and enforcing BRAC’s procurement policies and procedures. Ensure that appropriate procurement standards and documentation are followed in the selection of contractors, vendors, suppliers and grantees in line with the approved procurement Policy of BRAC;


  • Reviewing comparing analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased;


  • Prepare month and quarterly visits and travel reports and any other job reasonably assigned to you by your manager.

 

 

  • Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Establish a safeguarding culture cross all level of the Programmed by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Be responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and act in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure;
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourages others to do so.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Excellent negotiation & communication skills both oral and written. Planning and organizational skills;
  • Report-writing skills Basic accounting skills Basic stores management skills;
  • Respectful and honest.

Experience Requirements:

  • BBA Finance/Accounting/ Business Management
  • 3-5 years’ experience.

 

  • Educational Requirements: BBA in Finance, Accounting. Management& Banking
