Position: Project Manager

Responsibilities
GIZ is seeking to hire a Project Manager to provide support to two new partnerships with the PPP Project. The Project Manager role will be responsible for the two-partnership management and implementation to show the performance of the project’s indicators. This is a full-time position based in Monrovia, Liberia.
Tasks
- Oversee and monitor two or more partnerships with two private companies to ensure partnerships are being implemented according to plan
- Serve as project liaison between the GIZ PPP Fund Project, GIZ Country Office, and the two or more private companies
- Work hand in hand with the two private partners as well as the associated stakeholders (NGOs, Consultants, and Government Institutions) within those two partnerships to ensure the project is being implemented according to its objectives
- Project support in the implementation of M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages
- Build and maintain working relationships with all project stakeholders; engage in coalition building and empower stakeholders to take ownership of key project outcomes for post-project sustainability of progress. This includes the organization of steering committees
- Develop coalition-building contacts with partners and beneficiaries, government, community, and civil society organizations in Liberia
- Ensure GIZ PPP Fund Project objectives are meant
- The Project Manager will work with Business Service providers to ensure Business development is provided to the two companies to strengthen their business effectiveness to increase sales and revenue
- Ensure women and youth participation according to GIZ PPP Fund Project objectives and within the partnerships with the private sector
- Work closely with Finance/Admin person to ensure reporting qualities according to GIZ policies and regulations
- Provide regular briefing to the Technical Advisor to keep him/her informed of project implementation of the two partnerships and the stakeholder meetings
- Report on a quarterly basis project progress against deliverable
- Deal with any other tasks as may be required or assigned by the Technical Advisor and the Head of Project
Required qualifications, competencies, and experience
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, project management, or any related discipline
- Advanced Certificate or Undergraduate Degree in Project Management (Advantage)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management with at least 2 years working with an international organization
- Displays respect for diversity and culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity
- Professional fluency in English required
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Experience in MS office packages including advance Excel, and PowerPoint is essential
- Good business analytical skills
- Ability to write and analyze a business plan
- Analytical, research, and report writing skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
