Job Title: Project Supervisor (x1)

Responsible For: Field Assistants
Job Purpose: This is a field-based position that requires collaborating and working very closely with the local communities, community structures, government authorities, private sector and local partners where applicable.
Responsibilities: Work with the field assistants to prepare weekly activities plan, and with the Programme Managers to contribute to developing monthly activity plans, identifying and timely requesting the resources required for effective implementation of programme activities; work with the field assistants to mobilise and organize communities to identify and analyse contextual social problems, challenges and opportunities through participatory research and demonstrations; work with the field assistants to support groups’ dynamics, including establishing farmer groups, Mother Groups, CSLA/FSLA groups, and work with them to establish functional leadership structures; work with the communities and relevant local stakeholders to identify correct target groups in line with Concern’s global policies, and ensure their active participation in all stages of the programme cycle management and participatory learning; work with the field assistants to assists programme participants and their communities to identify and mobilize local resources and skills required for attainment of sustainable agriculture and behaviour change, with specific focus on increasing productivity of smallholder agriculture through farming as a business, climate-smart agriculture, prevention of postharvest losses, CSLAs/FSLAs, Agro-value chain development, as well as kitchen gardening activities for Mother Groups, fostering behaviour change; to be Concern’s point of contact with the local government authorities, and local implementing partners where applicable, within geographical areas of responsibility; Support the Field Assistant to facilitate necessary trainings and empowerment of participants, with the support of other members from the programme team; collaborate with and support Systems/logistics to ensure successful, transparent and accountable distribution of gardening inputs, Community/Farmers Saving and Loans Associations kits and other inputs supplied by the programme.

Experience & Qualification:
 Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Nutrition, Farm Economics or other relevant qualification from a recognized university
 Diploma holders in the relevant disciplines, with more than 5years of practical experience will also be considered.
 At least 3 years of experience in implementing community based donor funded programmes with a focus on nutrition sensitive agriculture, food security, farming as a business projects in Liberia with NGO(s) or government in rural areas
 The ability or willingness to learn how to ride a motorcycle
