Position Title: REGISTERED NURSES (RNs) – BONG & LOFA

Reports to: OFFICE -IN-CHARGE (OIC)

Location: CHI Sub Offices, Bong & Lofa Counties

CHI is dedicated to ensuring improvement in Maternal and Child Health. Our program focuses on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of health care services. Our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs are geared toward improving the health and well-being of mothers and children through various interventions such as prenatal care, postnatal care, immunizations, and nutrition programs. These programs play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to mothers and children, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes in Liberia.

 

We are seeking Registered Nurses for improving the utilization of contraceptives services in the counties (Bong & Lofa) mentioned.

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be a key member of the Family Planning Project team, providing comprehensive and compassionate reproductive health care services to women, men, and adolescents in the community. This role will focus on delivering high-quality family planning services, including counseling, education, and clinical procedures

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a wide range of family planning services, including:
  • Counseling on various contraceptive methods, including long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs)
  • Performing clinical procedures like insertion and removal of IUDs, implants, and other contraceptives
  • Managing side effects and complications related to contraceptive methods
  • Providing education and support on sexual and reproductive health
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Participate in outreach activities and community engagement initiatives to raise awareness about family planning services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
  • Adhere to all relevant clinical protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in family planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Understands Sexual Reproductive Health and its administration
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, confidentiality, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in health records keeping,
