JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Maryland Oil Palm Plantation (MOPP), which is involved with the Oil palm production; and operating in Maryland County – Liberia, requires the professional services of the following:

Position: Registered Nurse (Ref #: RN / MOPP – 003-23)

Number Needed: Two (2)

Duty Station: MOPP Plantation, Maryland County

Duration: Indefinite (but begins with probationary contractual services)

Purpose: To provide health-care, education and emotional support for patients and the public.

In accordance with the above, the professional Registered Nurse shall assume the following responsibilities and qualities:

• Monitor, record and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions;
• Maintain accurate reports and records in details, on patients’ information & vital signs;
• Order, interpret & evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions;
• Modify patients’ treatment plans in accordance with patients’ responses and conditions;
• Direct & supervise less-skilled nursing or health-care personnel within the facility;
• Consult & coordinate with health-care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients’ care;
• Monitor all aspects of patients’ care including diet and physical activities;
• Educate individuals, families or other groups on disease preventions, childbirth & related topics;
• Develop health improvement programs &
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and assist in these processes.

Qualifications:

• First Degree – Nursing (minimum) from any recognized institution.
• High fluency in written and spoken English.
• Must have at least 3 years of related work experience.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to learn and accept corrections to suit standards (as they are momentarily upgraded for better working conditions).
