Construction of Household Bio Digester Toilets in Greater Monrovia

Background and Purpose

WaterAid Liberia has recently completed its 2023-2028 Country Programme Strategy (CPS) which sets a 5-year building block towards delivering a more sustainable programme over the strategy period. This new CPS builds on progress from previous CPS and outlines critical shifts in strategic focus required for a more catalysed change to achieve maximum impact from our work in Liberia. Another key focus of the CP strategy is to harness existing partnerships for better results as well as building new partnerships and networking with key sector players including the government of Liberia, donors and private sector to ensure implementation of WaterAid Liberia’s Country Programme Strategy.

WaterAid Liberia is implementing a three-year project with funding from Wessex Water to improve urban WASH Governance and Increase Access to Adequate and Sustainable Sanitation and Hygiene Services in Greater Monrovia. The project will support 150 households in targeted communities with access to sustainable and improved sanitation facilities through a market-based approach while adopting and sustaining good hygiene behaviours.

WaterAid is pleased to invite interested local biodigester companies to play a crucial role in our project. Your expertise and contribution are vital as we aim to construct household bio-digester toilets in selected Urban communities within Greater Monrovia. We look forward to receiving your Expression of Interest (EOI).

Scope

Upon request, WaterAid can provide a brief scope of work, detailed application requirements, and templates for financial and technical proposals. Please note that we will be evaluating submissions based on specific selection criteria in the application requirements, so we encourage you to tailor your proposals accordingly. You can request these documents via email MohammedMassaley@wateraid.org from June 10, 2024, to June 17, 2024. When emailing your request, please include your contact information (name of your organization, name of contact person, telephone number, and email address).

Expression of Interest must be accompanied with the below requirements:

1. Article of Incorporation
2. Valid Business Registration
3. Construction Certificates (ALCC)
4. Valid Tax Clarence
5. Past performance records- including the names and contact numbers of at least two recent clients.
6. List of qualified personnel and experience.
7. Bidders should have at least three years similar experience and must have evidence of successful completion of all works.

Submission of EOI

Expression of Interest should be submitted through email to MohammedMassaley@wateraid.org with ChuchuSelma@wateraid.org in copied on or before June 28, 2024. No bid will be accepted after the stipulated date. Hard copy or printed version of EOI will not be accepted.

WaterAid reserves the right to accept or reject any or all expressions of interest. Late submission shall also be rejected.
