Request for Proposal (RFP): MEDIA OUTREACH TO DO OUTREACH SERVICES TO SUPORT HYPOTHECATED TAX, SANITATION INSPECTION AND COMMUNITY LAWS IN NIMBA, BONG, LOFA, GRAND BASSA AND RURAL MONTSERRADO COUNTIES
The Countrywide sanitation is a USAID funded project implemented from 2022 – 2027. Its primary goal is to permanently end open defecation and achieve sustainable basic sanitation across five counties Lofa, Nimba, Bong, Grand Bassa and Rural Montserrado. This five year initiative focuses on key result areas, including improving national and sub national level sanitation governance; enhancing the adoption of key sanitation behaviours, strengthening sanitation markets; and increasing sanitation financing. Combining the area wide planning and market based sanitation approaches with behaviour change communication, the project aims to create lasting impacts and enhance the overall sanitation landscape in Liberia.
In Liberia, the introduction of the Hypothecated tax for improved sanitation inspection programs and the enforcement of community sanitation laws are crucial steps toward enhancing public health, environmental sustainability and living standards. However, the success of these initiatives largely depend on public understanding, acceptance and participation. Media outreach is a powerful tool for informing, educating, and engaging citizens ensuring widespread support and compliance.
