Job Purpose:
The Resource Mobilization and Asset Manager is responsible for leading efforts to increase and diversify the
LNRCS´s resource and funding base. The Resource Mobilization and Asset Manager will develop and implement a
resource mobilization development strategy, to include unrestricted funding generation from asset management,
business activities and donors, and restricted funding for project delivery. The Manager will identify potential
funding and income generation opportunities, support the development of proposals, liaise with donors, domestic
partners and funding institution, identify opportunities to profile the National Society, and lead the process of
achieving LNRCS funding targets and goals.
Lateral Relationships
The Resource Mobilization and Asset Manager will work closely with all LNRCS senior staff, but particularly the
Admin and Finance Manager, and the Communications Officer to ensure the effective and timely functioning of
resource mobilization efforts, and in the process will build effective working relationships with chapters and
branches to ensure effective support and the flow of relevant information in both directions.
The Resource Mobilization and Asset Manager will report directly to the Secretary of the LNRCS. The Resource
Mobilization and Asset Manager will be the line Manager of the Workplace First Aid Business Manager who is
responsible for the LNRCS Workplace First Aid Business
Qualification and Experience:
Education • Educated to minimum A level standard (or equivalent) including Math and English or
relevant experience
• Relevant training / education in at least 1 specialist area of Resource Mobilization,
Communications or Marketing / Sales
Experience • Minimum 3-years’ experience in a resource mobilization setting, including significant donor
(client) engagement
• Proven track record of resource mobilization.
• Explicit experience and proven records in business development and organizational fund –
raising.
• Experience in leading (desirable) or contributing to (essential) the development of a
business strategy.
• Proposal writing, presenting and negotiation experience
• Working knowledge of basic contract law and tenders (desirable)
Knowledge
and Skills
• Thorough knowledge of the resource mobilization area and process and able to assess the
viability of potential Resource Mobilization solutions.
• Able to research opportunities, develop products and present a business case for new
Resource Mobilization solutions
• Has knowledge of individuals, private sector organizations and public agencies that can be
of significance to LNRCS’ Resource Mobilization efforts.

1. Work towards the achievement of the National Society’s mandate in the Country through effective
managerial and lateral relationships and teamwork.
2. Ensure understanding of roles, responsibilities, lateral relationships and accountabilities.
3. Perform other work-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Secretary General
Specific Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Leads the development and implementation of the LNRCS resource mobilization strategy and plan.
2. Map out all assets of the LNRCS – both capital and land, infrastructure and develop strategies for proper
management that brings commercial values and income to the LNRCS
3. Lead on all assessment of LNRCS’ assets from a Resource Mobilization perspective, identifies development
opportunities, seeks out investment potential and coordinates the management and development of them in
order to increase asset- based income generating potential.
4. Ensures that LNRCS’ Income Generating Activities, such as Workplace First Aid, remain profitable, achieve
growth potential and reach income targets.
5. Identify potential for new Income Generating Activities that can provide unrestricted income to LNRCS through
activities that are sufficiently well aligned with the Red Cross brand
6. Provides training to HQ staff, volunteers and chapter focal persons and national governance members (board
members and Head of commissions) in resource mobilization and supports them to develop resource
mobilization plans.
7. Undertakes the organization of resource mobilization network meetings at national and chapter level.
8. Work closely with Programme colleagues to identify project funding potential and ensures project proposals
are developed and submitted to international and domestics /donors.
9. Reports on a regular (quarterly) basis on progress made against planned targets and the progress /
achievements.
10. Develops strategies and approaches to increasing LNRCS governance openness, knowledge of, support to, and
increasing role in increasing resource mobilization, working closely with the Admin and Finance Manager to
ensure consistency of financial information.
