Position Title: Resource Mobilization Officer

Reports to: Executive Director

Work schedule: Mondays-Saturdays (48 hours)

Duty Station: Montserrado, with possible travels to counties of operation

Opening Date: November 16, 2021

Closing Date: November 30, 2021

KEEP is an organization that works at the grassroots level in 4 counties in Liberia (Grand Gedeh, Gbarpolu, Rivercess & Montserrado) and focuses on providing various support in the education sector, particularly at the primary school level. KEEP also engages in women & girls’ empowerment, economic livelihood, access to justice, promotion of rights in schools, strengthening youth education through computer and reading literacy programmes, child sponsorship and advocacy.

 

Job Summary:

The Resource Mobilization Officer is responsible for leading on fundraising and managing various funding streams for the organization. The role leads relationship building with corporate, foundations and individual donors and maintains a current database of donors and commitments.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Resource Mobilization Officer are as follows:

  • Lead on developing a fundraising plan.
  • Working closely with staff, lead on fundraising initiatives. This includes planning, budgeting and coordination of various approved activities.
  • Develop and maintain a database of donors.
  • Develop metrics and track donors commitments.
  • Lead on the development of various funding streams and design ways to strengthen existing ones.
  • Research and keep track of funding opportunities.
  • Support with media, branding and information sharing for the organization.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Graduate.
  • Must have a prior experience in working with a charity organization.
  • Must have experience in serving in similar role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003/2007, ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, data analysis package and database software, email and internet
  • Good communication skills. Both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English (written & spoken).
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations and problem solve.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and a team setting.
  • Available to work at flexible schedule that includes evenings and sometimes weekends and or holidays.
  • Must have good people management, engagement and networking skills.
