AccessBank Liberia is currently looking for qualified Liberian to fill the position of: Security Coordinator
Main Responsibilities
The Security Coordinator shall work to support the Administration Department on a daily basis and
ensure the Bank’s Security policy and procedures is fully implemented. Security Coordinator is
responsible to suspect surveillance against bank facilities are recorded and reported and conduct counter
surveillance regularly outside the branch.
The Security Coordinator must ensure that:
Bank’s security policy and procedure is fully implemented.
Professional trained guards are hired.
Tight access control procedures, including weapons screening are implemented.
Tight security as per the opening and closing procedures is maintained.
Counter surveillance outside Branch is regularly conducted by guards.
Visible surveillance camera system outside and inside facilities is installed and functional.
Comprehensive electronic alarm system covering all rooms in the branch including inside the
vault is installed and functional.
Strict key control system as described in the bank’s security policy is implemented.
Proper vehicle barriers in front of building to prevent get-away vehicles from getting close to
the building or ramming their way inside are installed.
Incidents of robberies in Liberia to determine trends and methods of operation of criminals, so
as to assist in determining necessary protective measures, are analyzed.
Security incidents of suspected surveillance against bank facilities are recorded and reported.
Regular report on the key security activities is sent to Management Board and Security
Committee.
Daily assigned tasks within area of responsibility are executed within deadline and
independently and/or in collaboration with others if need be.
Priority is given prevention of burglary, robbery and fire incidents in and around our facilities.
Alarm codes at branches and Head Office are changed every 3 months (once per quarter).
Any other reasonable duties, as assigned by supervisor, within the
Other Key Responsibilities
The Security Coordinator shall:
Monitor and verify mini safes in cashboxes and vaults at the branches to ensure that they are
always functional.
Monitor the burglary and fire alarm systems in branches to ensure their functionality.
Carry out and document regular (day & night) surprise security checks on security guards at all
branches and Head Office.
Assist the branches to update the access levels of Branch Managers and Deputy Branch
Managers, to the burglary and fire alarms systems, in case of leave and termination.
Supervise the construction and/or installation of pre-vault and vault doors to ensure that they
met the required designed and specifications.
Ensure that bank employees are trained on how to act prior to, during and before a robbery
and/or fire incident.
Ensure camera system with recording is protected inside control of point
Monitoring/Communications room.
Ensure communications with Police is protected inside hardened Monitoring/Communications
room.
Ensure that silent alarm system with panic buttons is installed at each teller’s workstations.
Ensure that that there is limited amount of cash at tellers’ workstations.
Assess and recommend where it is appropriate to use which type of access system or access
control device, especially in the entrance areas are not protected by a security guard.
Administer trainings regarding the location and manner of operation of each security device
and systems; ensure that Branch Managers and the repsonsible Deputy Branch Managers are
able to activate, reset and stop all alarms.
Constantly monitor the bank’s facilities.
Undertake other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Good Knowledge-How about safety and security work
Very good management and organizational skills
Good communication skills
Must be physically fit
Professional attitude and appearance
Ability to work independently, under pressure and flexible hours
Strong knowledge of health, safety and security regulations
Must have obtained at least an Associate of Arts degree in related field.
